Activyl® for Dogs and Activyl® for Cats are spot-on products used to kill fleas. That means they are applied to a small area of skin but soon spread on the skin and coat.
Five different presentations of Activyl® for Dogs are available for use on different size dogs from 4 lb of weight and 8 weeks of age. Two different presentations of Activyl® for Cats are available for cats from 2 lb of weight and 8 weeks of age. Different product presentations in both Activyl® for Dogs and Activyl® for Cats are necessary to kill fleas effectively. For the best flea protection, it is really important that you select the right presentation.
It is also important that you apply it correctly to your pet, as explained below:
Activyl® for Dogs and Activyl® for Cats have packages that can be opened without scissors. The applicator can be opened with one hand, so the other hand is free to hold your pet. The entire contents should be administered to the skin—NOT ON TOP OF THE COAT. The applicator is also transparent, which makes applying Activyl® for Dogs on two to four spots (depending on the size of your dog) on the back of your dog easy and convenient.
Choose a room in your house where your pet feels comfortable and relaxed, with a surface that’s easy to clean, just in case of spillage.
On smaller dogs
Part the coat and place the applicator tip against the skin at the base of the shoulder blades. Squeeze the applicator firmly, applying the entire contents directly onto the skin.
On larger dogs
The entire contents of one applicator should be applied evenly at two, three or four spots, at different sites along the back of the dog between the shoulders and the base of the tail. Part the coat at each site before applying the product directly on the skin.
